St Louis Artists' Guild's camps for Young Artists give students the chance to take art classes that develop their abilities to draw and paint from life and the imagination as they push themselves beyond what they knew they were capable of achieving. VCFA’s MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults program holds Book Birthday Parties to celebrate the books by members of the VCFA community. Events start at 8 pm ET on Zoom
In person or online at the St Louis Artists' Guild. This 6-week course will introduce you to the techniques and themes of writing picture books for young readers. You will develop your craft through in-class exercises and at-home writing (yes, this means homework) and through discussions of your own and fellow students’ work (a process called “workshopping” a text.)
