Remember “Remote Learning”? Talk about the Covid Lockdown with my book, “Covid-19 Helpers”

Sep 26, 2023

It’s been a few years since the fully isolated days of the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our communities asked all of us to stay at home instead of mingling at school, work, and other activities. That’s because Covid-19 was a brand new disease and healthcare officials felt the safe strategy was to stay isolated to reduce potentially exposing each other the germs. Those days may be a memory for many kids. Still, they may have questions about those days. They certainly were very different than today.

Here is an easy way to talk about, and help children understand the subjects of the Covid-19 lockdown, remote learning, and other experiences they had during the Covid-19 pandemic. Get yourself a copy of the book Covid-19 Helpers and read it with your children. Because it was the 1st place winner in the Emory Global Health Institute e-book contest, the book is always available free on their website.
