If you have a grandmother (or a few, if you’re lucky!), I bet she’s pretty important. Grandmothers aren’t just important to their grandkids, they’re important to the whole human species. Scientists have developed a theory, commonly called the Grandmother Effect, that states that thanks to grandmothers the human species has been able to develop large brains and live long lives.
