Create Your Own Graphic Novel
July 19–July 23, 2021
10:00am–2:30pm (includes 30 minute lunch break)
Young Artists: Ages 9-13
Camps for Young Artists at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild give students the chance to take art classes that develop their abilities to draw and paint from life and the imagination as they push themselves beyond what they knew they were capable of achieving. For more info visit the St. Louis Artists’ Guild website.
If you enjoy reading graphic novels, here is your chance to create your own mini graphic novel from start to finish! In this week-long day camp, you will learn the techniques and forms of this popular genre, including: story structure, crafting believable characters, and creating drama with words and pictures. Your graphic tale will be your own retelling, in text and images, of one of these classic stories: The Three Little Pigs, Cinderella, or Jack and the Beanstalk.
Most supplies are included in the cost of the class and students are responsible for brining their own lunch.
