It’s the way things have always been—the alphabet always starts with the letter “a.” Can’t other letters get a turn? My book, Alphabuddies: G Is First is all about taking turns, going first, what is fair, and questioning the status quo. All those issues are important skills that Kindergartners have to learn, practice, and ultimately master in order to succeed in school.
