Have you ever sung the Alphabet Song? Of course you have! But have you ever thought about singing it in a different order? What would happen if you did? That’s one of the big questions in my new book, Alphabuddies: G Is First, from HarperCollins. It’s co-authored by Karen Kane and illustrated by Eric Barclay.
In this video, the letters “g” and “a” are holding hands and singing the alphabet song: a b c d e f g, h i j k, l m n o p, q r s, t u v, w x y and z. The letter “a” says: “If I am not first, then I am not important.” Author Karen Kane signs: “Is that true? If you are not first, then you are not important? We will see!” Alphabuddies: G Is First.
Karen Kane happens to be an American Sign Language interpreter — that’s an important job! So in this video, she signs the information! Can you tell what she is saying? If not, there are words on the screen that you can read.
