What makes a good story? Featured in Quill Ink Blog

What makes a good story? That’s what Christina Boyd, editor of Quill Ink Blog, wanted to know.  I have thought about this question a lot, as someone who makes (and consumes) stories all the time. A good story has many layers. It can be read again and again any one always gets something out of it. The best stories allow readers to get different things out of the text at different points in their lives.

I also think that meta-storytelling makes a great story. Stories that KNOW that they’re stories. Or refer to the reader. Or use the medium of the book in unique ways.

If you want to know more about the things I love about books and other tidbits about my biography and books, log into Quill Ink Blog to find out all that I say.

Christina Boyd is an amazing writer, a great reader, a prolific editor–and an incredible artist. She can do it all! Cheers to Christina for her wonderful blog-based conversation.
