1. Kids are the reason I write and it’s so rewarding to hear their thoughts.
2. Teachers get the chance to ask questions — and their questions always make me think.
3. Research shows, after a school visit, students are more eager to read for pleasure.
4. For kids who have a tiny hope that they might want to become an author one day, I love to encourage that dream.
5. For kids who never before thought of becoming an author, maybe they will be inspired to go for it.
6. Students give me lots of great ideas for my next books!
