What’s more interesting than a new kids’ book? The “inside story” behind that book! Check out the zoom session here.
When you know why–and how–a book was created, it makes it that book much more fascinating. Last week, I was invited to provide the story-behind-the-story for my new book, The Panda Cub Swap. Also, the book’s brilliant illustrator, Anne Belov, was on the panel as well.
And what’s behind this fun zoom session? Twice a year, the team at SCBWI Western Washington invites a panel of local authors and illustrators to provide the story-behind-the-story of their brand new books. This year there were 16 of us! Wow, that’s a lot of creative power for a small region of the US! The whole session is 1 hour long, but you don’t need to watch it all. My piece, followed by Anne Belov’s, are the very first two… thanks to our place in the alphabet.
Again, check out the session: Right here on your favorite gizmo. Feel free to share this link with every librarian, teacher, parent, or child you know!
