Storybook character jack-o-lanterns

Oct 23, 2021

It’s Halloween time and that means decorating a pumpkin or two! Decorating pumpkins is so fun, and it’s wonderful to see kids creating jack-o-lanterns inspired by books they love. You can paint your pumpkin or carve it. You can glue pieces onto it, or give it a hat. You can add glitter or it it in a panoramic setting. Let your creativity shine! Oh, and if you don’t have a pumpkin, no worries. I’ve seen kids who decorate watermelons, balloons, or even rocks. I’d love to see your creation, especially if you are creating a book-themed jack-o-lantern. Send your photos my way!

Here are some great entries of pumpkins decorated by students around the world!

And here are some more!
