A 5-star review from a 5-star kid!

Dec 22, 2020

I just received a wonderful note from a bright young reader about the book “I Hate Reading.”  I think the reason this book speaks so honestly to real kids is that it’s full of the ideas that my own sons, Arthur and Henry, shared when they were in first and third grade. They’re co-authors of the book and 100% the source of the humor and honesty in its pages. So here’s the review:

Hi!  I am 8 years old. I got your book called “I hate reading.” And guess what?! I hate reading! I really liked your book a lot. I give it 5 stars! You are the best author. I really liked the scenes. I hope you make a book called, “I hate spelling.” And I hope it’s just like your other book.
