Two new books and a shout out from Publisher’s Weekly

May 22, 2020

Life has been busy around here lately, with the introduction of  my book about Covid-19 and the preparations for the June launch of I Hate Reading. Recently, Journalist Alex Green at Publisher’s Weekly caught up with me during this whirlwind time. Alex did a great job encapsulating what’s going on in my world in his article, “Covid-19 Helpers’ E-Book Wins Global Health Award.”

What I love best about this article is that Alex Green mentions my husband Dan (working at our local food pantry), my friend in France (Bonjour, Lea!), my classmate who told me about the contest (thanks Joy Pope) and of course my friend Kary Lee who created the beautiful illustrations for the book Covid-19 Helpers.

Appreciation also goes out to Emory Global Health Institute for sponsoring the contest and HarperCollins for setting up the interview. It does indeed take a village.
